When I come across an interesting point of view and great comments by readers, I’m inclined to share. Accessibility on the web has/can/and will be debated in many ways. I know that as a web developer, my co-workers and I debate things everyday. These debates often provide me and others, with new ideas and ways of how to make our sites more accessible and make better use of semantics.
To my point, here’s an interesting take of accessibility and society. Take a few minutes to read the article and the comments posted. You may walk away with a unique perspective and a better sense of how others feel about accessibility.

The author makes an interesting point. However, it is always difficult to take a philosopher’s view out of context like he does. Foucault grew up in France and spent his teens in WWII Europe with Nazi Germany all over the place.
Moreover, I think most people are only concerned if there is a dumped fridge in front of their own house. The dumped fridge across the street does not concern most people. And that’s probably what accessibility is for people without physical constraints, the fridge on other people’s property.
