A collaborative effort between The Web Standards Project and Microsoft has been announced. Hopefully with WaSP providing guidance and advice to Microsoft on web standards, we’ll see great strides in the development/design community.

    I’m not sure it’s much to celebrate - they don’t seem to be talking about fixing IE or ditching active-x - seems like the main deliverable is ASP becoming more popular even though we all know there are much better alternatives.

    I’m just shocked that they admitted IE wasn’t the perfect gold standard browser for the industry… ;-)

    While I think this is a good first step, I agree with all of you here, the journey has just began.

    I disagree, I thought the journey is at the present time finally over in the beginning of everything
