Generation Observation

January 29th, 2006 by Jason

Yesterday while at my local coffee house, I noticed something I had never taken the time to examine in detail. The differences in generations and the way they use technology and their way of life.

I noticed in the coffee shop, older folks enjoying coffee, mostly black, reading a newspaper. On the other hand, the younger generation, drinking their lattes, surfing the internet or listening to their iPod.

On the street, I noticed the older generations driving their Cadillac’s and Buick’s. I see the younger generation driving their Honda’s and Toyota’s.

I see older gentleman walking the streets in their trousers, button-down collared shirts, and wing-tipped oxfords. I see the new generation wearing jeans riddled with holes and furry boots.

Interesting to see these day to day observations and wonder what my children will one day do and wear.
