I came across this quote while working on an article and felt compelled to share, as it sums up so much in the areas of design and usability.
“It is easy to fail when designing an interactive experience. Designers fail when they do not know the audience, integrate the threads of content and context, welcome the public properly, or make clear what the experience is and what the audience’s role in it will be.”

You can take that statement to the bank. You’l notice in workstarts that you never head Art Directors ask the magic questions: “Who are we designing this for?” and “How wll this deisgn affect the user?”
