Beyond the coffee house

Seems that Starbucks isn’t pleased with simply offering us great coffee, lattes, and warm friendly shops to hang out in. Starbucks is on a mission to change (or should I say influence) pop culture.

Now while I’m a huge Starbucks fan and loyal customer, I’m not sure that branching out into areas like movies and music is always a wise thing to do for a company who does one something so well. Starbucks has come a long way in a short period of time. Currently selling 4 million coffees and beverages a day, with any luck Starbucks is sitting on a goldmine of an idea. It’s easy to see why Starbucks has become such a hit. Not only by serving great coffee, but community and environmental efforts go along way with building a loyal, young, hip customer base.

As I write this post, I’m in a Starbucks listening to their music, drinking coffee and using Wi-Fi. I guess you can say that Starbucks has already influenced pop culture.
