So it comes out today in the news that the NSA has been collecting phone call records for some time now. That shouldn’t really be a surprise to anyone, but what may be a surprise, is the sheer amount of records collected. Tens of millions of Americans have had records recorded with the data being provided by AT&T, Verizon and BellSouth.

While most sources leaking this info declined to be identified by name or affiliation, we all know where things like this get started. I’m not going into some long political rant, but things like this are happening everyday.

What’s your take on phone records being collected?

One of the most widely used pieces of computer hardware, which by the way, is also one of the most taken for granted is the mouse. So many choices for your mouse usage. One button, two button, wireless, the multi-functional Mighty Mouse, the list goes on and on.

Seems that everyone I work with uses a different variation of this simple piece of hardware. I prefer the Apple single button model. I like this mouse for it’s simplicity. It has all the features (one) that I’m looking for in a mouse. Some people call this “old school”, but I call it functional.

What’s your choice of the mouse variety?

Today was a slow news day around here. Hopefully things will pick up tomorrow. All of the usual suspects are taking some time off (or they’re really busy at work).

Monday I woke up with a strange theme song stuck in my head. The theme song was from Picture Pages. You know, the portion of Captain Kangaroo featuring Bill Cosby where he teaches you the basic lessons of spelling, math, geometry, and drawing.

I was 6 years old (1980) when Cosby took the segment over and I can still remember the magic board and the magic marker pen, Moritmer Icabod.

I haven’t thought about this show in years, but for some odd reason, I woke up with the theme song stuck in my head. A might strange in my opinion.
