Take the number

June 30th, 2006

Nothing annoys me more than trying to fill out a form online using the ID you (insert company name here) have provided me and receiving and error message that the ID doesn’t exist. If you generate an ID, please make sure that your system can handle the real-time usage/expectations of a user.

Northwest Airlines provides me with a Frequent Flyer number. They send me a mileage summary report each month. The account number is the same each time on the report. When I try to login into your site with the SAME number, you tell me my number doesn’t exist. Interesting.

Seems with all the competition out there, you’d work to make this experience as simple as possible.

All Zeppelin

June 28th, 2006

I have a neighbor who’s always playing Led Zeppelin. Not that I have a problem with Led Zeppelin, as I own a box-set and several discs from the band myself, but to have your entire music collection be nothing but Zeppelin is a little strange. Reminds me of the movie, Almost Famous. Don’t you think?
