It’s never easy to lose a loved one. It only seems to make it tougher when you’re 600 miles from home and you get the call, after it’s too late. No time to say goodbye or have a laugh with that loved one. It makes me realize that I don’t visit home enough. I don’t call family and friends as often as I should. I’m sure we’re all like that at times.
I think memories make life easier. In times like these, you always seem to remember the good, funny, family moments that make you realize how blessed you were to have known a honest, hard-working person. I’ll always have the memories and that brings me a little closer to home.
