Seems a lot of buzz is being made around the fact that the new Netscape Beta appears to be almost a complete rip-off of Digg.

Now many people are saying that Digg mostly does technology and Netscape is a web portal for a little bit of everything. Me, I say it’s a variation. This doesn’t make it better, but it’s inline with what’s happening online right now. For example, look at blogs. Most blogs appear very similiar, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a rip-off.

However, I think that a company with the funds and resources such as Netscape could come up with a little something more original.
