Dining experiences

June 24th, 2006 by Jason

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve noticed that when dining out, the service has been subpar. This has happened at various locations around the area I live in. I’ve dined in these places in the past and encountered no such experiences.

I’m not sure if it’s the case that I just so happened to catch new waiters/waitresses or if it’s just a string of bad luck. I just find it interesting that all of sudden, there seems to be a rash of bad service in the service industry.

Has anyone else noticed this trend recently?

Actually, yes, Laura and I have had a spell of bad experiences lately also, and in restaurants that usually have great service. How odd. Maybe it has something to do with college students going home for the summer?

National problem. I just left Disney last week and everything was perfect except the restaurants. terrible service, untrained servers, etc. And this is Disney! I suspected there that it was a large influx of International students just starting a new position…

Glad to see it’s not just me, but I’m saddened to see that it’s a bigger issue than just a couple bad apples. A poor dining experience can have effects on more than just one dining establishment. Hopefully as the summer rolls on, some of these “service professionals” will adapt and become quality professionals.
