Lost in Analytics
Jason

I’ve written about web logs before, but I’m hooked. It’s getting hard to count the amount of hours I’ve been spending pouring through Google Analytics. It’s such a useful tool that I never know how I made it without it. I find myself looking at all kinds of stats from Unique Visitors, to Geo-location maps, to bounce pages, the list could go on and on.
Does anyone else out there share the same opinion as me when it comes to this tool?

I have been running it on the new incarnation of my site, and I am pretty pleased with it. I still reference AwStats a lot, mostly due to the plethora of new terminology that Google Analytics uses. That’s about my only beef with it… things are broken down in a weird way which takes some getting used to. I am sure that if I was part of a team overseeing a site, things would make more sense, as individual reports could be handed off to the relevant person (marketing, technical, etc.).
