You should know this

March 27th, 2007 by Jason

I get really annoyed when I receive email adds asking to join a service that I’m already a customer of. For example, I’ve been with Cingular for nearly three years now and I still receive email offers asking me to become a Cingular customer. Hello, I am one already.

And it’s a wonder why the click-through-rate for email marketing is dismal. At the least, these companies should be checking customer databases against email mailing lists to ensure your contacting the right person/people.

Which companies annoy you as an existing customer?

Car dealers. After you’ve suffered buying a car, the dealer “thanks” you by sending a corporate satisfaction form (8 pages of multiple choice questions), then a barrage of “special offers” for oil changes and parts specials. How about a thank you note?

    American Girl, for obvious reasons.
