With the invention of the Internet (a series of tubes) we have the ability to work from anywhere. There’s really no need to be in an office in order to be productive.
Email allows us to send and receive files. Skype allows us to stay in touch via conference calls. Adium and Twitter provide us with up-to-the-minute updates as to the whereabouts of co-workers. RSS and web browsers bring both the news and current events to us, along with making all the research data we could ever use, a point-and-click away.
So I ask myself and you, why am I surrounded by the dull, gray walls of a cube day after day?
