Educated consumers

Poor customer service really drives me batty. This weekend I was actually told by someone:

“You need to stop being unrealistic with what your looking for”.

Well, this unrealistic customer took his business elsewhere and actually found a better deal. Surprised?

Customers are more educated than ever (thanks to the Interpipes). No longer can you fool the majority of customers because access to comparison info is limited or hard to come by. Comparison info is plentiful and consumers are using it.

Customers shop and compare online before heading into a store and dealing with the hassel of the sales associate, most of which don’t give a rats arse if I buy from them or not.

So the next time you think you can bully a customer into your over-priced merchandise, remember customer education is increasing and customers are exercising their options more and more.
