As I mentioned before, Saturday is the beginning of the Tour de France [Official site in French]. This years tour will begin without a tradition. Typically, the previous years winner of the tour begins the tour wearing the number one jersey. Since Floyd Landis is currently involved in a legal battle over the use of performance enhancing drugs, he will not be allowed the honor of wearing the jersey.
Until an outcome is reached in the case, no one will wear the number one jersey and the yellow winners jersey is still up in the air.
With the tour getting off to such a start, it should add to the drama that is the Tour de France.
