I’ve been away and when you’re away, things pile up. When I returned to work, I had a mountain of email, several phone messages and over 5,500 unread RSS feeds (which are really the meat of my daily work). Needless to say, I wondered where to start and how I’d finish in a timely manner.
Seems I wasn’t alone in the situation. I came across a fantastic article over at Chief Happiness Officer, where the exact same thing was happening. For tips on how it was dealt with, read the strategy for getting it cleaned up.
As for myself, I’m caught up on all the important, time-sensitive stuff and believe me, it really makes me reflect back on the down time I had during the vacation.
