Corrected whine

Apple has apparently (and finally) produced a tweaked version of the MacBook Pro logic board in response to everyone’s whining - MacBook Pro whining, that is. Also of note is the need for new installation DVDs that contain 10.4.6, not the 10.4.5 discs the machine originally came with.

Fresh Toast

Roxio released an update to their flagship CD and DVD-burning software for Macintosh. Version 7.1 is now a universal binary and provides fixes with issues related to Quicktime 7.1, AppleScript, the Toast Setup Assistant, and encoding Apple Lossless files.

On campus hit

In research conducted by the Student Monitor, it seems that the iPod has surpassed beer as being more “in”. However, the race was mighty close, with the iPod winning out by the narrow margin of 2% with the scores being 73% vs. 71%.
And who ever said technology and beer don’t mix?
