Bonds still seeking
January 27th, 2008
With spring training just five weeks away, Barry Bonds is still seeking employment. Yes, that’s right. Many say he’s the best hitter to ever play the game. Other’s believe he’s a cheat and a liar.
Poses the question: Has Bond’s reputation swayed the opinions of those who sign the paychecks?
Missed in Green Bay
January 4th, 2008
Brett Favre announced his retirement today. ESPN has one of the best articles I’ve read thus far. Many, many more articles will come in the next few days, but the most important ones have yet to be written. Those will come in September when the NFL starts a new season without one of the best QBs to ever play the game.
I’ll miss Favre on Sunday afternoons.
Updates on ice

If you’re an avid hockey fan like me, you may be interested in reading Slap Shot, the hockey blog from the NY Times.
Slap Shot is made up of a handful of bloggers who’ve been covering hockey, some since the 70’s, for a long time. A lot of the coverage is around the Rangers, Devils and Islanders, with the other NHL clubs getting fair coverage as well.
I’ve added to my daily feed consumption, maybe you should too.
Tonight
October 3rd, 2007
The puck drops tonight here in Hockeytown. Another season gets under way tonight with hopes of lifting the trophy of Lord Stanley at center ice come spring 2008.
Several publications have picked the Wings to win the Cup, so as it gets underway tonight, I know where I’ll be. Glued to the TV seeing if we have what it takes to live up to the early season hype.
