Dude, you’ve been able to do this for years. Perhaps not online, but at any really good bike store. (I actually did it first when I was sixteen). Order a frame to your specs, add the components you want, and voila. (You can come over and see my Pegoretti Marcelo sometime if you want.)

I had a similar situation, except I opted for removable fenders on my road bike that were held on with nothing more than a latex strap around the fork. They were way too flimsy and kept warping at high speed and rubbing against the tire walls. Lesson learned: get the bolt-ons.

They’ll be back in the tour together, but riding for different teams for sure. I don’t think Lance would want to take anything away from his own comeback and field questions about riding with Floyd. Same tour, different teams.
