I’ve written about utility bikes in the past, but I wanted to toss another company into the mix. Yuba is a company that makes utility bikes that are tagged as ‘affordable mobility‘.

I for one, like the bikes and am impressed by the amount of cargo that these bikes seem to hold. You can see lots of photos over at the gallery.
Yuba was founded on the core value that they needed to provide affordable mobility solutions to those who need the transportation the most. I encourage you to read more about Yuba and see how they’re making a difference.
I’ll leave you with a quote from a review by Jonathan Mauss from bikeportland.org, June 2008 on the Yuba Mondo:
“I love a bike that challenges people’s perception of what a bike can do - and the Mundo does precisely that.”

Moving Targets is a great read over at the New York Times that talks about cars and cyclists battling for the same real estate.

The great Davezilla shared an article to with me regarding no-nose bicycle seats and their effect on groin numbness, erectile dysfunction and other health issues.
I won’t sum up the article here, as I can’t do it justice. However, here’s a little snippet to get your blood flowing (pun intended)
“There was a significant improvement in penile tactile sensation, and the number of men indicating they had not experienced genital numbness while cycling for the preceding 6 months rose from 27 percent to 82 percent using no-nose saddles.”
